HEAL NS is planning our upcoming Provincial HIV, Health & Healing Forum for late Spring 2027. This weekend will bring together:
- people living with HIV (PLWH) from across Nova Scotia (at no cost to them);
- 2S/LGBTQIA+ folk from across Nova Scotia;
- community workers who provide HIV support and/or prevention;
- academics who research/teach about HIV and related issues; and
- NS Health Authority staff and healthcare professionals with an interest in HIV policy, prevention or treatment.
At the 'Forum' the above groups will come together to learn from one another, and explore ways to partner and better support the communities we aim to serve. This event will include speaker presentations, panels, conversation circles, creative projects, and mindfulness activities. It will focus on: HIV prevention; living with HIV; preliminary results from the provincial 2S/LGBTQIA+ health survey - and discussions about HEAL NS's planned work in 2S/LGBTQIA+ health.
